About Meeterboard

Meeterboard answers a question most teams never quantify: what does this meeting actually cost? Instead of vague complaints about calendar bloat, you pick a company and pay level, add attendees, start a clock, and watch the combined labor cost tick upward every second—priced from public compensation averages on Levels.fyi.

Who built it

Meeterboard is built and maintained by Wong Labs, a small studio that ships practical productivity tools. We have spent years inside software teams where meetings pile up faster than outcomes. Meeterboard is our attempt to make that trade-off visible without requiring HR data, finance exports, or a spreadsheet every time someone schedules a sync.

Wong Labs also builds other workplace and personal-finance tools. Meeterboard is independent: it does not share your meeting data with other products, and using another Wong Labs site is never required.

Why it exists

Most meeting cost calculators online multiply headcount by a flat hourly rate someone typed in once. That hides the real spread between a junior engineer and a director, and it ignores how tech compensation actually works (base, equity, bonus bundled into total comp). Meeterboard anchors each attendee to a Levels.fyi level band for a specific company, snapshots that annual total comp when they join, and converts it to a per-second rate using a transparent formula documented on our How it works page.

The goal is not to shame people for talking. Some meetings are worth every dollar. The goal is to give teams a shared number so they can ask better questions: Is this decision meeting cheaper than async? Did we invite the right level of seniority? Would a 30-minute cut save six figures over a year?
